Avid profile offline editor11/13/2023 This is probably the most frustrating aspect of the Venue system, a lot in part due to the fact that although it was way ahead of it's time in concept it was on the market 6 years ago and in spite of the software upgrades it does soffer from some legacy configuration issues, I'm sure now, there would be 12-16 busses, mono or stereo as you like, probably a whole lot more aux's too. Groups are either mono or stereo, choices are 8 aux's with 8 stereo groups, 16 auxes with 8 mono groups (you can link these together, but it doesn't allow you to insert a stereo effect/processor over the group) or 16 aux's with 8 variable groups (which works just like having 24 aux's). These, as far as I've always been aware are tied to your show file, i.e., load the next one and it will change to their settings. Hi Zack, in most scenario's you will want the delay compensation turned on and there are two options, mix, or mix and inserts. I can dream at least, right? Any help/advise would be much appreciated. I plain don't trust digital and I want the simplicity of being able to rock up to the first show with my USB stick and have no issues. I just want to be sure that if I send my vocals and FX (for example) to one group, that they will be stereo throughout the chain. How are they configured? For my purposes, I only need stereo sub-groups. Are there any settings that aren't specific to individual show files? I notice that the groups are set to mono/stereo in one of the settings tabs, yet I can't find how to set each individual group to either. all show files loaded will be affected) or is this going to be specific to my file. If I turn delay compensation on, does this affect the global console settings (ie. Are there any do's or don'ts when making a Venue file offline? I notice that with the default file that you start with it has delay compensation turned off and groups are mono/stereo. Myself and computers aren't great friends so treat me as a complete noob for the purposes of this. The appearance settings and keyboard shortcuts aren't as big of a deal, I can reprogram those.Hi, I've never had to make a Venue show file offline before and I just wanted to be clear on a few things before I do. I also don't have the luxury of time to re-program all the export setting I've created for all my clients. So simple creating a user profile for each with a different name for each person with a profile isn't an option for me, because I don't want a ton of dead users on the computer clogging things up. In an effort to try importing the Avid User Profile again (thinking maybe I'd overlooked something), but my Avid User Profile stills shows up in Avid.Ī twist to my problem is, at my facility we have several edit bays and several users. Macintosh HD/Applications/Avid Media Composer/Settings/(my username) So I tried to deleting the User Profile under After that, the name of my Avid profile settings shows up in the "Select Project" dialogue box, in the "User Profile"dropdown menu, BUT, the settings aren't the same they are the defult user settings and I don't have any of my export settings that I've created for all my clients. I exported my user profile settings out of my Media Composer 6.0.1.1 and tried copying the settings folder from my old Mac System User to my new System User. I had a corrupt System User on my Mac and IT told me to create a new user to solve the problem.
